ದೇಶದ 25 ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ನೌಕರರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನವಾದ ವೇತನವನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ನೌಕರರಿಗೆ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಕೂಡ ಕೇಂದ್ರಸರ್ಕಾರ ನೌಕರರಿಗೆ ಸಮಾನ ವೇತನ ನೀಡುವ 26ನೇ ರಾಜ್ಯವಾಗಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಸದಸ್ಯ ಶ್ರೀಕಂಠೇಗೌಡ ಅವರು ಒತ್ತಾಯಿಸಿದರು.
ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ದೇಶದ ಇತರೆ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳ ವೇತನ ಮತ್ತು ಭತ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ವೇತನ, ಸೇವಾ ನಿಯಮಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಪಾವತಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ವೇತನ ಮತ್ತು ಸೇವಾ ನಿಯಮಗಳು ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ಸೇವೆಯ ನೌಕರರಿಗೆ ಅನ್ವಯಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ಸೇವೆಯ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಅಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರುವ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸಲಾಗದು. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಅಖಿಲ ಭಾರತ ಸೇವೆ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳ ವೇತನ ಶ್ರೇಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಹುದ್ದೆಗಳ ವೇತನ ಶ್ರೇಣಿಗೆ ಹೋಲಿಸುವ ಪ್ರಮೇಯ ಉದ್ಭವಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
