ಕೊರೊನಾ ಸೋಂಕು ಹರಡುವಿಕೆ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ನಿರ್ಬಂಧಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದೆ. ಈ ಕ್ರಮಗಳಡಿ 2021 ಡಿ. 30 ರಿಂದ 2022ರ ಜ. 2ರವರೆಗೆ ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸ್ತವ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯದ ಶೇ. 50ರಷ್ಟು ಮಾತ್ರ ಬಳಕೆ ನಿಯಮ ಅನ್ವಯಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದು ಸರ್ಕಾರ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಿದೆ.

ಡಿಸೆಂಬರ್ 30ರಿಂದ ಜನವರಿ 2 ರವರೆಗೆ ರೆಸ್ಟೋರೆಂಟ್, ಹೋಟೆಲ್, ಕ್ಲಬ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊರೋನಾ ನಿಯಂತ್ರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಪೂರಕವಾದ ನಡುವಳಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡ್ಡಾಯವಾಗಿ ಪಾಲಿಸುವ ಷರತ್ತಿಗೆ ಒಳಪಟ್ಟಂತೆ ಆಸನ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯದ ಶೇ. 50 ರಷ್ಟು ಮಾತ್ರ ಬಳಕೆಗೆ ಅವಕಾಶ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಹೋಟೆಲ್ಗಳ ಕೊಠಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸ್ತವ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ನಿರ್ಬಂಧವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಕಾರಣ ಇದು ಅನ್ವಯಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಹೋಟೆಲ್ ಗಳು ಅನುಮೋದಿತ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿ ಕೊಠಡಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆದ್ಯತೆ ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಸೂಚನೆಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ಬಾಗಿಲು ಮುಚ್ಚಿದೆ. ರೆಗ್ಯುಲರ್ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಂಯೋಜನೆ ಮಾಡಲು ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳು ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿವೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾಲ್ಕು ವರ್ಷದ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಪದವಿಗಳು ಮಾತ್ರ ಲಭ್ಯವಿರುತ್ತವೆ. ಡಿಪ್ಲೊಮಾ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಎಂದಿನಂತೆ ಎರಡು ವರ್ಷದ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಪದವಿಗೆ ಅಂದರೆ 3 ಸೆಮಿಸ್ಟರ್ ಲ್ಯಾಟರಲ್ ಎಂಟ್ರಿ ಮೂಲಕ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದು.

ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಲ್ಲಿ 12 ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ, ಅನುದಾನಿತ ಮತ್ತು ಖಾಸಗಿ ಸಂಜೆ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಿವೆ. ಹತ್ತನೇ ತರಗತಿ ನಂತರ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಡಿಪ್ಲೋಮಾ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪಡೆದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ನೀಡಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಡಿಪ್ಲೋಮೋ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ಪಡೆದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಅಥವಾ ಖಾಸಗಿ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಗಲಿನ ಹೊತ್ತು ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ನಂತರ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳಿಗೆ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಪದವಿ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಆದರೆ ಉದ್ಯೋಗದ ಒತ್ತಡದ ನಡುವೆ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರೈಸುವುದು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸವಾಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣದ ಗುಣಮಟ್ಟದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಬೀರುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇಷ್ಟಲ್ಲದೆ, ಈ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಸಹ ದುಬಾರಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ 2020-21 ನೇ ಸಾಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಎಐಸಿಟಿಇ ಸಂಜೆ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಂದ್ ಮಾಡಲು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಿದೆ.

ಇಷ್ಟೊತ್ತಿಗಾಗಲೇ ಎಲ್ಲ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳು ಕೋರ್ಸ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸಿಇಟಿ ಸೀಟುಗಳು ಹಂಚಿಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದವು. ಈ ಕಾರಣಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾಲೇಜು ಬಂದ್ ಮಾಡುವ ಪ್ರಕ್ರಿಯೆಯನ್ನು ಕೈಬಿಡಲಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೆ ಜೂನ್ ತಿಂಗಳಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಧಿಕೃತ ಆದೇಶ ಹೊರಡಿಸಿದ ಎಐಸಿಟಿಇ ದೇಶದಾದ್ಯಂತ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಸಂಜೆ ಇಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಕಾಲೇಜುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಂದ್ ಮಾಡಲು ಸೂಚನೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ.

ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಕ್ರಮದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಉದ್ಯೋಗದ ಜೊತೆಗೆ, ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಪದವಿ ಪಡೆಯಬಹುದೆಂಬ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಆಸೆಗೆ ತಣ್ಣೀರು ಎರಚಿದಂತಾಗಿದೆ. ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಯಿಂದ ಬಳಲುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅಭ್ಯರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸಿದ ಹಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂಜಿನಿಯರಿಂಗ್ ಪದವಿ ಪೂರೈಸುವುದು ಕನಸಿನ ಮಾತಾಗಿದೆ.

ಸಾಗರದ ಗಾಂಧಿ ಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ವತಿಯಿಂದ ನಡೆದ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ನ 136ನೇ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪನ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
ಬದಲಾದ ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಕೊಡುಗೆಯನ್ನು ಜನ ಮರೆಯುತ್ತಿರುವುದು ಬೇಸರದ ಸಂಗತಿ. ಯುವಜನರು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ್ದು, ಬೆಳೆದು ಬಂದಿದ್ದು ಮತ್ತು ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ನೀಡಿದ ಕೊಡುಗೆಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅರಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.
ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಅನುಭವಿಸಲು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದ ಪಕ್ಷವಲ್ಲ. ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ನ್ಯಾಯ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು ಎನ್ನುವುದು ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಮೊದಲ ಆದ್ಯತೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ದೇಶದ ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸುವ ಮಹತ್ತರ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿ ನೇತೃತ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಜನ್ಮ ತಾಳಿದ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಕ್ಷದ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪನ ದಿನ ಚಾರಿತ್ರಿಕ ದಿನ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದಾಗಿದೆ. ಇಂತಹ ದಿನವನ್ನು ಸಾಂಕೇತಿಕವಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸದೇ ಶ್ರದ್ಧಾಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಆಚರಿಸಬೇಕು. ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ತಂದುಕೊಡುವಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಂಗ್ರೆಸ್ ಪಾತ್ರ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವಾದದ್ದು ಎಂದರು.

ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ತೆರಿಗೆ ಸಂಗ್ರಹವು ಪ್ರಸಕ್ತ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ವರ್ಷದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಗದಿತ ಗುರಿಗಿಂತ ಭಾರಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಮಾಡುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ. ಇದರಿಂದಾಗಿ, ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ವಿತ್ತೀಯ ಕೊರತೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವೂ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಆಗುವ ನಿರೀಕ್ಷೆಯಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದಿದೆ.

ಭಾನುವಾರ ಟಾಸ್ ಗೆದ್ದು ಬ್ಯಾಟಿಂಗ್ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದ್ದ ಭಾರತ ತಂಡವು 90 ಓವರ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 3 ವಿಕೆಟ್ ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ 272 ರನ್ ಗಳಿಸಿತು.ಶತಕ ಗಳಿಸಿದ K.L ರಾಹುಲ್ ಮತ್ತು ಲಯ ಕಂಡುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದ ಅಜಿಂಕ್ಯ ರಹಾನೆ ಕ್ರೀಸ್ ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರು.ಆದರೆ, ಸೋಮವಾರ ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಮಳೆ ಶುರುವಾಗಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಆಟಗಾರರು ಕಣಕ್ಕಿಳಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಕಳೆದ ವರ್ಷ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ, ಮಹಾರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ, ಒಡಿಶಾ, ಜಾರ್ಖಂಡ್, ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರದೇಶ, ತಮಿಳುನಾಡು ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 6598 ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆಗೆ ಶರಣಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಪ್ರತಿ ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ 35 ಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕೇಂದ್ರಾಡಳಿತ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಟ್ಟು 5928 ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಆತ್ಮಹತ್ಯೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಿದೆ.

ICC ಅಕಾಡೆಮಿ ಗ್ರೌಂಡ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೋಮವಾರ ಕೊನೆಯ ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಟಾಸ್ ಗೆದ್ದ ಆಫ್ಘಾನಿಸ್ತಾನ ಬ್ಯಾಟಿಂಗ್ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು 50 ಓವರ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 4 ವಿಕೆಟ್ ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ 259 ರನ್ ಗಳಿಸಿತು.
260 ರನ್ ಗಳ ಗೆಲುವಿನ ಗುರಿ ಬೆನ್ನತ್ತಿ ಆಡಿದ ಭಾರತ ತಂಡ ಕೇವಲ 48.2 ಓವರ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 6 ವಿಕೆಟ್ ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ 262 ರನ್ ಬಾರಿಸಿ ಜಯ ಸಾಧಿಸಿತು.
“A” ಗುಂಪಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಭಾರತ ಒಟ್ಟು 4 ಅಂಕಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅಂಕಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆದು ಸೆಮೀಸ್ ಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಪಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಮೊದಲ ಹಂತದ ವಿಕೆಟ್ ಜೊತೆಯಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಕಣಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿದ ಹರ್ನೂಲ್ ಸಿಂಗ್(65) ಮತ್ತು ಲಿಂಗ್ ಕ್ರಿಶ್ ರಘುವಂಶಿ(35) ಮೊದಲ ವಿಕೆಟ್ ಜೊತೆಯಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ 104 ರನ್ ಸೇರಿಸಿದರು.ಆದರೆ,ಬಳಿಕ ನಿರಂತರ ವಿಕೆಟ್ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ 197 ರನ್ ಗಳಿಗೆ 6 ವಿಕೆಟ್ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಿತು.ಸೋಲಿನ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿದ ಭಾರತ ತಂಡವನ್ನು ನಂತರ ಬಂದ ಜೊತೆ ಆಟಗಾರರಾದ ರಾಜ್ ಬಾವಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಕುಶಾಲ್ ಇನ್ನೂ 10 ಎಸೆತ ಬಾಕಿ ಇರುವಂತೆಯೇ ಭಾರತ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಗೆಲುವು ತಂದು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ತಂಡವು ಸೆಮಿಫೈನಲ್ ಹಂತಕ್ಕೆ ತಲುಪುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣರಾದರು.
