ಪರಿಷತ್ ಸದಸ್ಯರ ಪೈಕಿ ಶೇಕಡ ಎಂಟರಿಂದ 10 ರಷ್ಟು ಮಂದಿ ಸಹಿ ಮಾಡಲೂ ಬಾರದಂತಹ ಅನಕ್ಷರಸ್ಥರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ಮೂಲಕ ಕನ್ನಡ ಕಲಿಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ಹೊಸದಾಗಿ ಸದಸ್ಯತ್ವ ಪಡೆಯುವವರು ಏಳನೇ ತರಗತಿ ಪಾಸಾದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಪತ್ರ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಬೇಕು. ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದರೆ ಅಂತವರಿಗೆ ಸರಳವಾದ ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುವುದು. ತೇರ್ಗಡೆ ಹೊಂದಿದವರಿಗೆ ಸದಸ್ಯತ್ವ ನೀಡಲಾಗುವುದು. ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಜಿಲ್ಲಾ, ತಾಲೂಕು ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ತರಬೇತಿ ಘಟಕಗಳ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಹೋಬಳಿ ಮಟ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ತರಬೇತಿ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ತೆರೆಯಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ಪತ್ರಿಕಾಗೋಷ್ಠಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
