260 ರನ್ ಗಳ ಗೆಲುವಿನ ಗುರಿ ಬೆನ್ನತ್ತಿ ಆಡಿದ ಭಾರತ ತಂಡ ಕೇವಲ 48.2 ಓವರ್ ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 6 ವಿಕೆಟ್ ನಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ 262 ರನ್ ಬಾರಿಸಿ ಜಯ ಸಾಧಿಸಿತು.
“A” ಗುಂಪಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಭಾರತ ಒಟ್ಟು 4 ಅಂಕಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಅಂಕಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡನೇ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಪಡೆದು ಸೆಮೀಸ್ ಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಪಡೆದಿದೆ.
ಮೊದಲ ಹಂತದ ವಿಕೆಟ್ ಜೊತೆಯಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂಕಣಕ್ಕೆ ಇಳಿದ ಹರ್ನೂಲ್ ಸಿಂಗ್(65) ಮತ್ತು ಲಿಂಗ್ ಕ್ರಿಶ್ ರಘುವಂಶಿ(35) ಮೊದಲ ವಿಕೆಟ್ ಜೊತೆಯಾಟದಲ್ಲಿ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ 104 ರನ್ ಸೇರಿಸಿದರು.ಆದರೆ,ಬಳಿಕ ನಿರಂತರ ವಿಕೆಟ್ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿ 197 ರನ್ ಗಳಿಗೆ 6 ವಿಕೆಟ್ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಿತು.ಸೋಲಿನ ಸಂಕಷ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿದ ಭಾರತ ತಂಡವನ್ನು ನಂತರ ಬಂದ ಜೊತೆ ಆಟಗಾರರಾದ ರಾಜ್ ಬಾವಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಕುಶಾಲ್ ಇನ್ನೂ 10 ಎಸೆತ ಬಾಕಿ ಇರುವಂತೆಯೇ ಭಾರತ ತಂಡಕ್ಕೆ ಗೆಲುವು ತಂದು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ತಂಡವು ಸೆಮಿಫೈನಲ್ ಹಂತಕ್ಕೆ ತಲುಪುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣರಾದರು.
