ಕುವೆಂಪು ರಂಗಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕ ರಾಜ್ಯ ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಪರಿಷತ್ ಆಯೋಜಿಸಿದ್ದ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಮಟ್ಟದ ಪ್ರಥಮ ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಸಮ್ಮೇಳನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರೋ ಮಾಜಿ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಡಾ.ಎ.ಎಸ್. ಕಿರಣ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರು.
“ವಿಶ್ವದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ವಿದ್ಯಮಾನಗಳು ವಿಜ್ಞಾನದ ಹಾದಿಯಲ್ಲೇ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಇನ್ನೊಂದೆಡೆ ಮನುಷ್ಯನ ಸ್ವಾರ್ಥಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಬಳಕೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಾ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿ ನಾಶವಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ” ಎಂದು ಡಾ.ಎ.ಎಸ್.ಕಿರಣ್ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಅವರು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
‘ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಗ್ರಾಮದ ಕಲ್ಪನೆ ಪರಿಷತ್ತಿನ ಬಹುಮುಖ್ಯ ಯೋಜನೆ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ ಯೋಜನೆಗೆ ಹಲವರು ಕೈಜೋಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ನೆರವಿನ ಅಗತ್ಯವಿದೆ. ಕನಿಷ್ಠ 10 ಎಕರೆ ಜಮೀನನ್ನಾದರೂ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಗ್ರಾಮಕ್ಕೆ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ನೀಡಬೇಕು’ ಎಂದು ರಾಜ್ಯ ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಪರಿಷತ್ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಡಾ. ಹುಲಿಕಲ್ ನಟರಾಜ್ ಹೇಳಿದರು.
ಈ ವೇಳೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ನೌಕರರ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಸಿ.ಎಸ್.ಷಡಾಕ್ಷರಿ ಅವರು ಶಿವಮೊಗ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಕೇಂದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಜಾಗ ನೀಡಲು ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಹುಲಿಕಲ್ ನಟರಾಜ್ ಅವರು ಯೋಜಿಸಿರುವ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಗ್ರಾಮ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಲು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯ ಜನಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳು, ಸರ್ಕಾರದ ಜೊತೆ ಸಮಾಲೋಚನೆ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.
